Your AI Employee Is Basically The Tamagotchi We Wished We Had

And if you grew up in the 80s or 90s, you probably understand this better than most.

If you’re old enough to remember a Tamagotchi, then you remember the feeling.

You had this little digital creature in your pocket. It needed attention. It responded to care. It changed based on how you interacted with it. And for a moment, it felt like the future had arrived in your hands.

Now let me say something that might sound a little funny at first: an AI Employee feels a lot like the grown-up version of that idea.

Not because it’s a toy. And not because it beeps at you from a keychain. But because it gets better when you engage with it properly.

You train it. You shape it. You learn what it responds to. You give it structure. You notice what makes it useful. And over time, it stops being a novelty and starts becoming part of your daily rhythm.

That’s the part most people miss.

They think an AI Employee is just a static tool. A chatbot. A prompt box. A little software trick.

It’s not.

Used right, it becomes a living part of the way your business operates. It learns your context. It reflects your standards. It gets shaped around your needs. It becomes more useful because you invested in it.

That’s a lot closer to a digital companion than a normal software subscription.

Only now, instead of reminding you to feed it, it helps you draft follow-up, summarize meetings, organize knowledge, answer repeat questions, and remove the kind of repetitive drag that wears founders down.

Here’s what I think is so interesting about this moment in history: kids who grew up with Tamagotchis, Game Boys, and early internet culture were quietly being trained to understand digital relationships before the business world even had language for them.

Now those same people are adults running companies.

And the idea of having a digital “worker” that evolves with use no longer sounds crazy. It sounds inevitable.

The difference is this time the upside is real.

Your AI Employee does not just entertain you. It creates leverage.

It helps you get out of the weeds. It creates speed. It supports your team. It reduces decision fatigue around the repetitive stuff.

And if it’s managed correctly, it gets more valuable over time.

That’s why I think every business owner should have one.

Not because it’s trendy. Not because AI is hot. But because business gets better when repetitive work stops depending on one tired human brain.

The Tamagotchi was a hint.

The AI Employee is the real thing.
